Jeff Shankley is a British theatre actor and singer who created the role of Greaseball in Starlight Express.
He is also known for originating the role of Munkustrap in Cats. He also created the role of Melchisedic in the musical Time, played Pop in We Will Rock You, Gus/Growltiger/Bustopher Jones in Cats, Professor Porter in Tarzan, and Antoine in Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Jeff Shankley trained at RADA. His theatre credits include Necheave in The Revolutionary at The Royal Court, Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Don John in Much Ado About Nothing at The New Shakespeare Company, Laertes in Hamlet, Prince Hal in Henry IV, Victor in Private Lives and Fred in Saved at The Birmingham Rep Company. His TV credits include Family At War, The Chaps and Young At Heart.
His West End credits include Frank Schultz in Showboat, Jed in West of Suez, Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, Al in A Chorus Line, Munkustrap in Cats and Endicott in Windy City. He was an original soloist in Matt Mattox's International Jazz Company and was also recently commissioned to write the music for the rock musical Rockoco, which was broadcast on Radio 4.
