1988 Biography[]
Wayne trained at the London School of Contemporary Dance and the London Studio of Performing Arts. He was the first overseas student to win a scholarship to study at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.
Wayne's film appearances include dancing on the Donna Summer Show. He was a member of the Red Rodgers Company in New York and was principal dancer for both the London Youth Dance Theatre and Opera North's production of Salome.
Wayne's dancing career also includes work for Tsai Fung Chinese Modern Dance Company at the New York Palace Theatre, where he was a soloist. Wayne also played Josephine Baker's lover and lead dancer in the musical This Is My Dream (The Life and Times of Josephine Baker) at the Theatre Royal, London.
