- Jo brought a vivaciousness to the role of Pearl which was most refreshing. She had a sparkle, a slight element of wit and cheekiness, that came from her own personality, she made Pearl a little more vivacious than she is normally portrayed. Jo's Pearl got carried away and didn't realize the mistakes she was making, rather than being either so thick she didn't know what she was doing, or deep and intelligent, and choosing to hurt everyone who cared for her. She portrayed a very like-able Pearl, as well as being an excellent, experienced skater, beautiful dancer and singer.
