Biography (1993)[]

John Partridge (Electra) is twenty years old and trained at the Royal Ballet School, Bush Davies and Doreen Bird. He left college at the age of seventeen to tour with Cats playing the role of Alonzo/Rumpuscat and understudying Mistoffelees and Tugger. After the tour, John joined the London company of Cats, playing the same roles but this time understudying Munkustrap and Tugger. During this time he appeared in Gershwin's My One and Only at the London Palladium. He left Cats to appear in Mike Batt's The Hunting of the Snark at the Prince Edward Theatre playing the role of the Butcher.

Other credits include fashion shows for Jaeger, Chanel and Vivienne Westwood, the Genie in Aladdin (Camberley), pop videos for Mark V, Eartha Kitt, Yazoo, The Organisation, Nenah Cherry, Adamski and Kim Appleby, television commervials for Maltesers, Colgate, Vidal Sassooon, Cadbury's Twirls, and Fox's Classics.

John's television credits are The Hot Shoe Show, A Kind of Loving, Pebble Mill (BBC), The Bill, This Morning (ITV), and Aspects of Dance (Channel 4). John dedicates his performance in Starlight Express to his closest friends.

Later during his run, John started growing his hair and wore a full Electra wig instead of the painted head.
