Richard Woodford has performed, on and off, in Starlight Express for 18 years.

He was a member of the closing company of the London production of The Phantom of the Opera, also by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Woodford portrayed Monsieur Gilles Andre, one of two co-managers of the theatre in which the story takes place. The other co-manager, Monsieur Fermin, was played by Woodford's co-star from the 2001 London cast of Starlight Express, Ross Dawes.[1]
